Starting a New Student Organization

Requirements to Register a Student Organization:

The University of Alabama at Birmingham and (insert organization name) prohibits discrimination in admission, educational programs, and other student matters on the basis of race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, gender expression, age, national origin, disability unrelated to program performance, veteran status or genetic or family medical history.

To Create a NEW Student Organization:

You MUST complete the following steps to start a NEW student organization on campus.

  1. Log-into BSync.
  2. At the top click Organizations and then click Add Organization.
  3. Click Register New Organization on the top of the page.
  4. A box will pop up asking "Where do you want to create this organization?". Choose UAB Student Life
  5. Fill out the appropriate information (New Organizations MUST upload a membership list AND a constitution meeting the requirements above).
  6. Click “Finish”.
